After Jesus’ Resurrection
On Sunday April 4th, Christians from around the globe
were rejoicing in the triumph of Jesus’ glorious resurrection, the victory of
life over death. Indeed, Christ died for our sins, He was buried, and was
raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures (1 Cor. 15:1-4). Dear
friend, have you ever wondered what took place after Jesus’ resurrection? You
may remember the story.
After Jesus’ resurrection, John chapter 20 tells us that Jesus was
seen by Mary Magdalene and His disciples. Below is a link to John 20 from the
2003 feature film, “The Gospel of John”. It’s a powerful visual of Jesus’ final
days on earth before He ascended to heaven and sat at the right hand of God the
Father almighty.
What does Jesus’ death, resurrection, and the many other signs He
did in the presence of His disciples mean for you and I today? The answer comes
at the very end of John 20:
“these were written that you may
believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may
have life in His name.” John 20:31
