God is All-Powerful

God is all-powerful and by the power of His word, He created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1; Psalm 121:1). Indeed, “the heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands” (Psalm 19:1). God is all-powerful and therefore there is nothing too difficult for Him to do.

Consider the “highest of heights to the depths of the sea” and how all creation reveals His majesty. Consider the “colours of fall to the fragrance of spring” and how “every creature is unique in the songs that it sings”. As humans created in the image of God, every breath we take - are sustained by Him.

As God incarnate, Jesus is all-powerful. For “all things were made through Him, and without Him was not anything made that was made” (John 1:3). While Jesus walked the earth, He healed the sick, fed the hungry, calmed the storm, raised the dead and demonstrated His power over sin and death by His death on the cross and His glorious resurrection. As “there is no pit so deep where God’s love is not deeper still” (Corrie Ten Boom), Jesus is all-powerful to save, and there is no pit so deep where He cannot reach.
